Homemade Pesto
A favorite at our house is pesto, we eat it on pasta, pizza, bread, dip and much more. I am using a basic recipe, and otherwise I vary the vegetables, for example, try changing the basil with spinach, broccoli, or bell peppers.
Did you know that you can freeze pesto? You can, I usually freeze it in small portions, so they are easy to take out and use on your pizza, pasta etc.
Pesto:
- 150 g basil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 Tbsp pines
- The juice from 1 lemon
- 125 ml oil
- 50 g grated parmesan
- Salt and pepper
Put all the ingredients in a blender and pure it, if necessary you can add more oil to achieve the right consistency, season with salt and pepper.
